Selbstorganisation – wie geht das eigentlich?

Viele Projekte und Initiativen, auch im Rahmen von Solidarity City, bezeichnen sich selbst als „selbstorganisiert“. Doch was genau bedeutet es, sich selbst zu organisieren?
Zuallererst geht es darum, gleichberechtigte statt hierarchische Strukturen zu schaffen. Das heißt, dass Entscheidungen von all jenen getroffen werden, die von ihnen betroffen sind. In einem kurzen Input stellen wir euch weitere Grundprinzipien und Formen von Selbstorganisation vor – und auch einige „Werkzeuge“, die uns dabei helfen können, selbstorganisierte Strukturen aufzubauen und am Leben zu erhalten. Anhand von (euren) Beispielen übertragen wir das Ganze in die Praxis und diskutieren Erfolge und Schwierigkeiten von Selbstorganisation.
Damit wollen wir anschließen an die Diskussion vom letzten Treffen, bei dem wir uns der Stadtteilarbeit und dem transformativen Organizing gewidmet haben. Um andere Menschen für ein Thema zu mobilisieren, müssen wir uns erst einmal selbst organisieren. Daher lenken wir am 31. Januar den Blick auf unsere bereits existierenden Strukturen. Nach und nach wollen wir so Kassel zu einer solidarischen und ökologischen Stadt machen.
Save the date: Außerdem wollen wir euch (wie angekündigt) einladen zu einem ausführlicheren Workshop rund um „Transformative Organizing“, der am 4. und 5. April 2020 stattfinden wird. Der Ort wird noch bekannt gegeben, aber das Datum könnt ihr euch schon einmal notieren.

Self-organisation – how does that actually work?

Many projects and initiatives, also within the scope of Solidarity City, describe themselves as „self-organized“. But what exactly does it mean to organise oneself?
First and foremost, it is about creating equal rather than hierarchical structures. This means that decisions are made by all those who are affected by them. In a short input we will introduce you to further basic principles and forms of self-organization – and some „tools“ that can help us to build and keep self-organized structures alive. With the help of (your) examples, we will put the whole thing into practice and discuss successes and difficulties of self-organisation.
With this we want to follow up the discussion of the last meeting, which we dedicated to the topic of district work and Transformative Organizing. But in order to get other people mobilized for a cause, we first have to organise ourselves. Therefore, on 31st January, we will turn our attention to our exising structures. Gradually we can thus make Kassel a city of solidarity and ecology.
